ShadowNode is independent, privacy-first hosting run by people who answer their own messages. We do not ask you to take our word for it — watch our uptime live, read the status page, and start on a $2 plan before you commit to anything bigger.
Every server runs on infrastructure located in Germany — your files and worlds never leave the country. Strong EU-grade data protection, not a black box in some jurisdiction you have never heard of.
Storage is encrypted at rest with AES-256. For sensitive data you can turn on end-to-end (zero-knowledge) encryption where only you hold the key — we cannot read it even if we wanted to.
We keep no connection logs, no activity logs and no IP addresses. Pay in crypto or with a gift card — no bank, no credit card, no ID check. Your business stays your business.
Each customer gets a dedicated, network-isolated environment. Your resources are yours — never pooled with, or reachable by, other customers.
Optional encrypted off-site backups are available as an add-on on VPS and storage plans. Restore points stay under your control, encrypted, and separate from your live server.
We do not just claim reliability — we show it. Our public status page tracks 90 days of uptime per service and refreshes every 30 seconds. If something is down, you see it there before we tell you.
We are not a faceless corporation with a call-centre and a churn dashboard. ShadowNode is small and independent — no investors deciding your data is a product, no reselling of your details, no upsell traps. When you message support, a real person who actually runs the servers reads it.
Being small is not something we hide — it is the point. It is why we can keep things cheap, answer fast, and care whether your server is up. We would rather earn your trust one working server at a time than promise you the world on day one.
If we ever fail to deliver a service you paid for, you get a full refund — just message us. And you never have to gamble much in the first place: plans start at $2 a month, so you can run a real server on our infrastructure before committing to anything serious.
