The setup wizard, step by step

Every plan adds a <b>Pay</b> step right after Welcome — shown further down. Once payment confirms, the wizard continues exactly as pictured.

1 Step 1

Welcome — your server is live

You land here right after ordering. A green “Server is live” badge means it is ready to join; while it provisions you’ll see “Setting up your server…” and everything unlocks automatically within a minute.

2 Step 2

Make it yours

Set the version & mod support (Vanilla, Paper for plugins, Forge/Fabric for mods), difficulty, game mode and max players — applied to your server in one click. You can change all of it later in the console.

Pick a Paper/Forge/Fabric version to unlock the 15,000+ mod & plugin catalog in your console. Players are unlimited on every plan.

3 Step 3

Connect in Minecraft

Copy your personal address, then in Java Edition go to Multiplayer → Add Server, paste it, and join. The address is one click to copy.

Your server runs 24/7 and is ready the moment provisioning finishes — no wake-up wait on paid plans.

4 Step 4

Play with friends

Run /op YourName once to make yourself admin, /whitelist add FriendName to invite people, or /whitelist off to open the server to anyone with the address.

5 Step 5

You’re all set

Your world is live at your address. Log into the console anytime with your ShadowNode account — same username, same password, no separate server password to remember.

Never type a dot right after the address — Minecraft passes it through and the router won’t match “host.”

Paid plans: the Pay step

Complete your payment

Send exactly the shown amount — the network confirms it automatically (usually 1–5 min) and the page updates by itself. Pay with BTC, ETH, SOL or Polygon, or submit a gift-card code. No account or KYC needed.

The amount + address are copyable, and a QR code is shown for mobile wallets. Gift-card orders show a “checking” status until a human approves it.

Troubleshooting

“Can’t connect” right after ordering

Provisioning takes up to a minute. Wait, then retry — the Welcome badge turns green when it’s ready.

Server shows offline in the list

Join anyway — free servers wake on connect (“⚡ Starting…” shows while it boots).

Address doesn’t resolve

Check for typos, especially a trailing dot after the address.

Want plugins or mods

Re-pick a Paper (plugins) or Forge/Fabric (mods) version in Make it yours, then browse the catalog in your console.
